In March 2020, the world was thrust into chaos by a silent, invisible enemy: COVID-19. At first, it seemed like a distant crisis—something happening far away in China. But it quickly became clear that no corner of the world would be spared. The virus spread rapidly, upending lives, overwhelming healthcare systems, and changing our everyday routines in ways we couldn’t have imagined. For years, we lived in uncertainty, quarantined in our homes, glued to our screens, and mourning loved ones lost to a global tragedy. And throughout it all, science was at the center.
